The flapper dress, the Jazz Age and Art Deco spontaneity can only mean one thing. A uniform inspired by the 1920’s for the Savoy’s Beaufort Bar. Jet black and gold oozes from the palette together with luxury velvets and satins. The design had to be glamorous yet not look like costume.
Making a designer uniform that could also serve as a practical garment was challenging. We made the tassels and corsage removable so that every piece could be dry-cleaned. We commissioned an English mill to design an exclusive weave and made the accessories, by hand, in house. It’s the attention to detail that really gave this uniform the wow factor.
In 2014 and 2015, Studio 104 won ‘Best Design’ at the Professional Clothing Awards for this contract. To date this collection has received an accolade of press coverage and amazing feedback from A list celebrities Will Smith and Russel Brand.
